Every year, PMA hosts an educational event for publishers called PMA Publishing University, or just PMA-U for short. PMA-U is held each year right before Book Expo America and in the same city. In 2008, PMA-U will be held in Los Angeles, California, the last week in May. If you've never been to PMA University, it's a great event, packed with educational sessions and networking opportunities.

PMA University 2007 ScholarshipEvery year, our parent group, PMA, The Independent Book Publishers Association, holds an educational event for publishers called PMA Publishing University, or PMA-U for short. It's an incredible event, and I highly recommend it. This year, PMA-U will be held at the end of May in New York City. PMA awards a PMA-U scholarship to one member of each Affiliate group. The scholarship is generally awarded to a publisher who needs assistance in growing his/her publishing company. The scholarship includes free registration to attend the Publishing University, plus a $500 stipend to help pay for travel expenses.
