MBPA is a professional trade community of independent publishers located in the MidAtlantic region of the United States. We welcome all independent and self-publishers, along with authors considering becoming independent publishers, in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Washington, DC.
We are a regional affiliate of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), the largest non-profit trade association representing independent publishers.

On November 9, Bill Holland, Lawrence Knorr, Erika Liodice and Rita Lucas were elected to serve on the
special one-year Transitional Board of Directors for 2013. Their terms begin on January 1, 2013 and end on December 31, 2013. They will be working with continuing Director Beverly Richardson as a team of five.
